10 reasons why you have to visit the London Bridal Show

We don’t really need to tell you how important the London Bridal Show will be on the 2014 buying calendar, but pointing out all the plus points is fun. Here we go, and in no particular order….

1 Choice. At Olympia, 6-8 April, you will find the newest collections from the top-name international manufacturers who consistently hit the best-sellers lists in bridal. Every sector will be represented, including occasionwear, MOB, menswear, accessories and childrenswear. If you cater to bridesmaids, this is the place to be.

2 Location. London is one of the world capitals, possibly the world capital. And Olympia is an internationally-known venue that is easily accessible from the heart of the city and from the airports that service it.

3 Accommodation. There are some amazingly good deals to be had at quality hotels close to the venue, offering convenience, comfort and value for money. You’ll be seriously surprised at some of the prices.

4 Travel. This one is a no brainer. There are excellent train and flight schedules and, better still, there are some exceptionally good bargains if you book ahead. The new issue of Bridal Buyer – out just when you have had time to get over the holiday festivities – lists air and train prices from various UK cities.

5 Timing. Get your orders in at the show, 6-8 April, and you’ll be assured of delivery dates that will work best for you and your busy season.  And because The London Bridal Show is the first event of the year (as well as being the biggest), you can be among the first to bag exclusivity deals.

6 White Gallery London. This prestigious event will be staged at the same time as the London Bridal Show. From Battersea, it is a short hop from The London Bridal Show and the venue where the top international designer collections are showcased.

7. Getting around. In April, the Ocean Media shuttle bus service will get you from Battersea to Olympia in no time at all and, best of all, there’s a whole fleet of dedicated shuttles, leaving every 15 or so minutes from each venue.

8. Events. After a busy day buying, London has so much to offer, from a dazzling variety of restaurants to an amazing number of stage shows. The What’s On list could go on forever but it is worth planning ahead and treating yourself to one special night on the town.

9. Party. Yes, that’s what we all enjoy. At the London Bridal Show there will be a first-day party on the Sunday. Be there and have a drink, a mingle, a laugh with friends and colleagues.

10. Where bridal happens. And that’s the real reason to be there.
