Footwear firm Rainbow Club has appointed Joanne Stoker as head designer, with the celebrated British shoe designer planning to show stockists the “playful” side of the label.
Joanne joins Rainbow Club with a wealth of footwear experience behind her. Before creating her eponymous line of shoes and bags, she graduated from London College of Fashion’s Cordwainers College and was spotted and mentored by Jimmy Choo. Throughout her career she has collaborated with numerous designers including Matthew Williamson and Dune, and also won the highly prestigious Vogue Talents Award.
Speaking about the appointment, Rainbow Club’s managing director Richard Marsh said: “Joanne is perfectly placed to leverage Rainbow Club’s 30 year design archive whilst capturing a new spirit of modernity. Her conceptual aesthetic will beautifully compliment the quintessential British style that Rainbow Club customers know and love.”
Meanwhile, Joanne said: “I’m thrilled at the prospect of showing Rainbow Club’s loyal network of retailers a more playful design spirit.
“From selecting the perfect satin to choosing exquisite embellishments, creating a pair of bridal shoes is a magical process. I hope that my design vision for the new season will enthral and enchant retailers and brides alike, showcasing the special blend of trend-driven choice and premium quality that Rainbow Club has long pioneered”
Rainbow Club has been designing, making and colouring handmade satin wedding and occasion shoes since 1986, firmly establishing them as the UK’s leading and most inspirational producers.
