We catch up with the team behind the UK’s longest running bridal buying event, Harrogate Bridal Show, to discuss what retailers can expect from this Autumn’s event
For over 30 years, the Harrogate Bridal Show has been considered the home of bridal, with retailers and suppliers coming together for three days of inspiration, insight and innovation each September.
The exhibition originally took place in the independent hotels within the beautiful Yorkshire town, over the years the show grew into one of the most renowned bridal exhibitions in the world. It moved into the Harrogate Convention Centre in 1995, where the exhibition still takes place.
Each year Harrogate welcomes the biggest brands from across the globe as they showcase their latest collections. The show also features fashion shows, held in the beautiful Royal Hall and the Bridal Retail Success Academy, offering retailers valuable business advice.
As we stepped into 2020, none of us expected to be faced with such an unprecedented and challenging situation. At a time when solidarity is being tested, it’s more important than ever that as an industry, we stand shoulder to shoulder.
The team behind the show are working hard to deliver the high standard event the industry has come to expect, with over 300 brands and an inspirational line-up of experts already confirmed.
Director of Bridal - Harrogate, Wendy Adams says "The safety of our visitors, exhibitors and staff is our priority. We are working with the Harrogate Convention Centre and our other event partners to ensure the 2020 show meets government guidelines".
"Registration for the Harrogate Bridal Show will open at the beginning of June. Retailers will be able to register their attendance through a simple online form, which will be hosted on our brand new website. Once registered, visitors will be sent frequent updates on the latest brands confirmed, social distancing protocols and more. We’re really looking forward to seeing our industry come together this Autumn" says Marketing Manager, Ella O’Keefe.
