Fabrics will take the limelight at The London Bridal Show, with buyers on the lookout for even more lacy designs.
A survey conducted by Bridal Buyer found that 26 per cent of those coming to the show will be looking for designs featuring more lace. Despite lace being extremely popular with brides over the last few years it appears consumers are not tiring of it yet and buyers are keen to stock more lacy styles for the coming year.
Fear not, however, as there will be plenty on offer from a whole host of labels at the exhibition, from pretty lace appliqués and delicate Chantilly laces to corded options and coloured underlays.
Although lots of boutique owners are keen to buy lacy samples, 21 per cent said they hoping to find plainer fabrics at Olympia. Structured satins and matt mikados are sure to please those wanting clean and classic lines.
There has been much talk about separates, with a host of brands adding mix and match options into their collections. Buyers will be pleased to see these, with 21 per cent of those surveyed on the lookout for separates.
Low backs are still proving popular, however off-the-shoulder styles, which have been gaining momentum in the designer market, don’t appear to have quite caught on to the mainstream with just four per cent of buyers hoping to see them at the show.
