Tell us about your brand values

Freda Bennet’s wish is to offer high quality, well cut, on trend dresses with an appealing price tag. Each dress is designed in the U.K, preserving and enhancing our signature look.

As the designers are the heart and soul of this boutique label, they not only are creative directors in all the Freda Bennet branding, but are personally in touch with all their customers, providing excellent customer service which is extremely important to them.

What was the inspiration behind your latest collection?

Inspiration comes from what we love and what’s going on around us. This year, micro-weddings and paired back ceremonies have influenced the collection, with sophisticated simplicity as well as on-trend separates. Our core 2021 collection has a more relaxed feel, whilst maintaining the hidden structure that doesn’t compromise on the fit. We have focused on cool crepes and textured tulles, classic silhouettes in contemporary fabrics, and detachable sleeves can completely change the look of the dress for day or evening. For those less formal ceremonies, the 2021 Urban collection has a metropolitan edge: it is relaxed, contemporary, and alternative, where brides can set their own style, with mix and match separates. For the smaller more intimate weddings, cropped tops or blouses and chic skirts or palazzo pants are favourites. We are very much looking forward to the 2022 collection embracing sparkle and glamour…a time to party!

What drove you to become a bridal designer?

The opportunity to create something beautiful and to be able to have fun with design. To design a dress that will be held in memories, be it flamboyant, extravagant or simply elegant, is a wonderful opportunity.

What pieces do you feel really highlight the vision of the collection?

Rae
A contemporary dress in deluxe satin crepe, with a breath-taking flounce skirt.

Hana
A whimsical romantic tulle dress, with beautiful embroidered flowers and detachable sleeves to allow for two outfits in one.

Theo/Quinn
A lavish top combining different fabrics, spot tulle and sequins, contrasted with a sophisticated fitted crepe skirt with high centre split.

What’s your favourite thing about working in bridal fashion?

Our favourite thing about working in bridal fashion is the small intimate industry, where we can meet other creative people and form lots of lasting friendships.

Where is your brand currently stocked and where are you looking to expand to?

As a relatively new label, we are predominantly stocked in the UK at present but we are always looking for new areas and international customers!

What are you looking forward to about Global Gallery?

We are most excited about showcasing our collection to a much wider audience and being able to reach out to shops we have not met yet. To have all our information and credentials in Global Gallery will allow us to access easily and quickly.
