Tuxedos are surging in popularity, says one suiting expert who believes the once traditional top hat and tails is making a graceful exit from the wedding line-up.
Classic tuxedos are set to take centre stage in 2016 as grooms opt for the sharp lines of a tux. Tuxedos now come in all varies from the classic black and white penguin suit to patterned and coloured options.
According to British tuxedo experts Johnny Tuxedo, the tux had gone full circle from when it was first introduced in the 1880s but has never really been away from the spotlight.
Founder Austen Pickles said: “Weddings used to be about really traditional attire while the tux was originally seen as more of a lounge suit,” he said. “But it has continued to evolve over the years and is consistently seen on the red carpet as the ultimate in sophistication for men; so it is no surprise that many grooms are choosing a tux above anything else.”
