The Harrogate Bridal Show is your chance to see the latest pieces from the industry’s top names. There will be dozens of collections vying for your attention, and they’re all guaranteed to impress. Not sure what new styles to choose? We asked a handful of exhibitors for some of the designs they think will be in high demand next year.

  • Michael’s Bridal Fabrics: “The digital-printed, laser-cut 3D embroideries and laces are selling well right now. Colour wise, we are seeing a growing demand for soft pinks like shell and dusky rose.”

  • Cameron Ross Formal Hire: “Tweed is continuing its enormous rise in popularity and we are well catered for in this respect, with our Tweed Check Collection. The ability to mix and match these special garments is certainly a hit with the modern groom who’s looking for something that little bit different.”

  • Bianco Evento: “The off-shoulder design is one that we will see often, and 3D laces and tattoo effects will also stay on-trend. In accessories, long veils had their big come back last year and look set to stay around, too.”

  • Jadore: “Off-shoulder gowns will definitely be a favourite trend, while ready-to-wear bridesmaids, velvet elements, nude and silver hues as well as sequins will also all be in demand next year.”

  • House of Nicholas: “Expect to see some simpler styles and plainer fabrics in 2018, too, including some great new brocades.”

  • Ivory & Co: “The colour trends this season are just fabulous, we’ve been working with palest blush pinks, pale golds, latte and pearl greys, and we have been matching these with delicate Chantilly lace overlays and working with soft floaty silhouettes. To match the dresses, we’ve developed stunning rose gold headpieces and jewellery, including long vines for weaving into boho plaits, which are sure to be on-trend well into the new year.”

  • Les Demoiselle: “Green and nude hues, pearls and lace, as well as off-the-shoulder bridesmaids styles will all feature next year, and brides will also want simple and elegant silhouettes, non-traditional jewellery and pearl capelets.”

  • Essense Designs: “The trends will be effortless and relaxed allowing brides to be comfortable and natural on their big day – so expect to see additional soft, flowing skirts and loose sleeve designs. Balancing this look will be a return of some sleek, structured styles that convey regal traditions of weddings past – think featured seaming, dramatic necklines, and vintage silhouettes. Every bride and maid will also continue to want those romantic (and also sexy) details such as side and back cut-outs, layers of sheerness and low necklines.”

  • Sydney’s Closet: “2018 will see brides after more interesting fabrics and soft colors as well as plenty of floral prints.”

  • Victoria Kay: “We can bet that Grecian styles with heavy beaded bodices, sleeves and low back details will also all be key trends for 2018.”
