Harrogate Fashion Week returned this year, and the response from visitors and exhibitors was overwhelmingly positive
From 29th-30th July, Harrogate Fashion Week made a return to the beautiful northern town, after the popular exhibition was moved to Birmingham in 2001. This exhibition showcases high quality and niche brands for independent retailers. From the overwhelmingly positive reaction from both exhibitors and buyers alike, it is clear this Harrogate-based event has been greatly missed.
Harrogate is also home to The Harrogate Bridal Show. Listen to this handy podcast for everything you need to know about the show.
The trade only fashion event was extremely busy over the duration of its two days. James Lakeland explained: “Harrogate is going to become a firm favourite with buyers and the footfall is going to grow massively. James Lakeland will be here in January, Harrogate is the one stop shop for all independent buyers in the country.” Pomodoro had an equally positive response to the show: “Harrogate Fashion Week was fashion and fun all under one roof. We opened new accounts and we were really busy on Sunday.”
Hosted in the Harrogate Conservation Centre, exhibitors and visitors thought it the perfect setting. Brodie Cashmere commented: “The show itself was great, the layout and lighting worked so well, everyone’s products looked their best.”
The show also attracted many occasionwear brands, ideal for mother of the bride or wedding guests.
Due to the positive feedback the organisers have received, they’re already working towards the next show, which is taking place 27th–28th January 2019. It is also expected that the show will grow to four halls within the Harrogate Convention Centre.
