Sleeves

Sleeves

One of the key trends to emerge from London Bridal Fashion Week & White Gallery 2019 was sleeves. We saw a variety of sleeve types from designers and manufactures this year. Lillian West and Ivory & Co featured short sleeves in their collections, perfect for a summer bride. While Herve Paris and Morilee showcased how versatile long sleeves can be, with cuffed and fluted sleeves featuring across their collections.

Halternecks

Halternecks

After the royal wedding in 2018, it was no surprise to see halterneck dresses on the catwalk his season. Allure Bridals, Eternity and Ronald Joyce featured dresses with beaded necklines, while Victoria Sanders’ collection featured a flower print dress with a frilled halterneck. This look is perfect for a bride looking for something less traditional, but still on-trend.

Layered Tulle

Layered Tulle

Bridal favourite tulle was prominent this season, with many layering the fabric for maximum effect. Tal Kedem and Le Papillion by Modeca showcased tulle in the traditional sense with large layers from the waistline down, while Dando London and Tiffanys featured the fabric as part of a mermaid silhouette.

Separates/Two-pieces

Separates/Two-pieces

Separates first appeared at White Gallery in 2017 and are now here to stay. Allure Bridals and BSS by Safiyya Babayeve showcased cropped tops and trousers to suit the growing number of boho brides, while the Eliza Jane Howell collection featured separates covering the mid-drift for the more conservative bride.

Feathers

Feathers

Feathers were a key trend among both London Bridal Fashion Week & White Gallery brands. White Gallery designers were daring with their use of feathers, with Danit Levi using feathered edging along a high leg split and Eliza Jane Howell featuring peacock feathers in a showstopping gown. London Bridal Fashion Week brands including Peony Rice and Ronald Joyce used feathered boleros to create a dramatic look.

Coloured Dresses

Coloured Dresses

Colour featured heavily on the catwalk this year. Modeca and Eternity Bridal chose dark colours for maximum impact, while Lusan Mandongus opted for light blue undertones for a more subtle pop of colour. Coya Collection’s showstopping catwalk featured a myriad of colours, offering a range of looks for bridesmaids and wedding guests.

Lingerie Inspired Dresses

If you’re looking for something a little sexier then look no further than these lingerie-inspired gowns. Lilly & Charles and Sincerity featured exposed boning, while Le Papillion by Modeca showcased dresses with built-in bustiers. Danit Levi’s bold sheer illusion gown was a true showstopper.
