Michael’s Bridal Fabrics is now 21 years old, and is regarded by many as having the largest stock range of bridal-related fabrics, trims and accessories of any company in Europe. The company is also the UK distributer for Spanish button manufacturer Ramon Santeularia, as well as French company Interstiss, so at The Harrogate Bridal Show 2017, the team will have plenty to offer.

What can you give buyers?

We offer all kinds of fabrics – plains, laces, embroideries, beaded, jacquards as well as edgings motifs and dress accessories including buckles, clasps, brooches and fancy buttons. We will have thousands of items on show at Harrogate.

What’s new for 2018?

There are many more unusual types of irregular designs. This includes embroideries and laces that feature digital printing and some combined with laser cut pieces for a 3D effect. You’ll also see more fabrics with larger, bold designs, new edgings and motifs including new body panels and pieces for backless dresses. We also have two new qualities of stretch tulle.

What do you think are next year’s key bridal trends?

The digitally-printed, laser cut 3D embroideries and laces are selling very well right now. Colour wise, we are seeing a growing demand for soft pinks like shell and dusky rose.

Will you have any special promotions at The Harrogate Bridal Show?

We have a large number of existing customers that attend The Harrogate Bridal Show, and each year we will always attract many new customers both from the UK and overseas. New customers get to see the sample books we can offer them, we also give out vouchers to existing and new customers before the show giving them £10 off on orders placed at the show over £100.

What is your price range?

Fabrics are priced from a few pounds to several hundred pounds per metre. Edging and motifs start from under £1 and go up to well over a £100 a piece or a metre.
