James Waddington, Marketing Director of Romantica of Devon, revealed the team’s delight at having McKenna on board: “Romantica are delighted to have James join the team.

"He brings with him a wealth of experience in customer relationship management, in-store product training and a deep understanding of the trends and challenges on the horizon. I hope all of our customers are looking forward to meeting James in the coming weeks.”

James McKenna, formerly Director of UK Sales & Marketing for Alfred Angelo, had the following to say about his new role: “I have known James for some years and have always been impressed by the strong brand Romantica are in the market place.

“I received a lot of offers after the abrupt closure of Alfred Angelo, but to be honest I was won over very quickly by the heritage, infrastructure and future plans of Romantica.

“The business continues to evolve and I am really excited to be part of the journey.

“Thanks to the in-house design teams and technical pattern upgrades the collections have never been stronger. Combined with an elevated social media and website presence, I really did feel this was the only logical move for me.

“Most appealing to me is Pure UK. A bridal salesman’s dream, to sell a collection designed and manufactured here in the UK. Combined with the luxury and elegance of Opulence, we can offer a dream dress to suit any bride’s personality.

“I am really excited and looking forward to meeting all our customers, old and new at Harrogate and over the coming months."
