Alongside the main Preview, a select number of designers graced the catwalk with their Private Fashion Shows from Bridal Week London & White Gallery 2022. Take a peek at some of the freshest designs from SAVIN London, Maggie Sottero, Ronald Joyce and Morilee below.
Showcasing their latest pieces on the main stage first was Maggie Sottero, Rebecca Ingram and Sottero and Midgley. With over 100 fresh new designs, the runway was filled with a host of gorgeously romantic designs with comfortable and contemporary silhouettes. The charm and ethereality that runs throughout the three collections was displayed in the form of delicate embellishment, flowing tulles and whimsical laces, and each gown was the stuff of dreams. The Spring show also saw a powerful and prominent choice of models: the Maggie Sottero brands pride themselves on diversity and inclusion, and this year, continued to champion brides of all shapes and sizes. From bold ballgowns to sleeker silhouettes, the variety of dresses showcased on this year’s catwalk were symbolic of everything the brand seeks to embody.
Next to grace the stage was Ronald Joyce. Veni Infantino’s classic, elegant designs caught many an eye as they made their mark on the runway, where an array of stunning statement sleeves made an appearance. Her styles are known to stand the test of time, with refined silhouettes, luscious trains and decadent fabrics, though the Ronald Joyce team showcased two bolder, contemporary designs: a strapless blue ballgown, adorned with pink floral embellishment, and a tight pleated tulle corset gown that flowed into a full floral ruffle skirt. Whether your brides are searching for that romantic, traditional gown or daring to go for a bolder look, every design from Ronald Joyce is sure to make them look and feel incredible.
SAVIN London’s catwalk was nothing short of spectacular. Fresh and beautiful, it was difficult to miss the natural inspirations behind the designs from both White Gallery’s SAVIN London and It Was All A Dream. The ’Floral Bloom’ collection was made from free, floating fabrics tied together by a carnival of colour and the most intricate botanical embellishment, an "exploration in colour and texture". Each design was gloriously artistic, adorned with floral applique from top to toe and finished with hand-painted detail.
The Morilee team showcased a selection of their latest designs on the Bridal Week runway. The collection was elegant and freeing, and featured detachable sleeves, trains and relaxed silhouettes. Though each design was unique, lace made a noteworthy appearance, romantically cascading from the bodice to the skirt to refine the bridal look. Understated and subtle, whilst still incorporating a range of stunning contemporary elements reimagined for today’s bride, the dresses showcased on the Morilee catwalk felt timeless. Ending the show with a fairytale-like vision, Morilee brought a full princess gown, complete with lace sleeves, floral applique and light layers of tulle to the spotlight, closing the Private Shows.
