Lynn Grant made her Harrogate debut on this year’s Fashion Show runway. Her designs stood out for their quality and uniqueness. The collection is centred on the classic, traditional silhouettes that continue to stand the test of time, however each gown features a subtle twist whether that be in the choice of lace, or the addition of colour. By including pieces such as a blue satin jacket or striking peach coloured tulle ballgown, Lynn wanted to demonstrate that everything within the collection can be changed or customised for the bride or the boutique. We especially loved the range of dramatic skirts within the collection. From large ruffles to feathers, different materials have been used to give each gown its own unique style.

We spoke to Lynn Grant at the show to discuss her first ever bridal collection:

What were your inspirations behind the latest collection?

Classic traditional with a twist. I love the classic shape, fitted with a feeling of good structure but with a little twist or subtle difference. I also love showing off curves and dresses that sit and move really well.

What are your top three bestsellers?

The Chloe package: This gives you the option of having a big skirt for during the day and then you can change it late at night for the more fitted mermaid silhouette

Isabella: I think she is exactly what I’ve been speaking about, she is the traditional classic shape. Timeless. So when you look back on your photos in ten, twenty years you’re not going to think it’s dated. I have gone for a little bit more of the vintage lace but with a very subtle illusion waist on the bodice so I think this could be a good dress for daughters that maybe want something with a little more edge to it whilst buying something suitable and approved of by their mum.

Jessica: This dress has a very dramatic skirt. I’ve gone for a half sparkle, half plain tulle layer and I just love the bodice and the neckline on it. It’s classic and timeless with the twist on the bottom.
