The 2025 Cannes Film Festival not only captivated with its star-studded glamour and cinematic masterpieces, but also delivered a treasure trove of bridal inspiration: we dive into our favourites.
The 78th Cannes Film Festival wasn’t just a celebration of cinema - it doubled as a runway, where fashion stole the spotlight and which set the stage for the season’s most stunning trends.
From ethereal tulle and sculptural silhouettes to delicate hues of ivory and powder blue, this year’s red carpet was filled with looks that echoed bridal elegance. The wedding dress inspiration was unmistakable: here are some of our favorite standout moments.
Leonine Hann opted for this ultra-voluminous mini with exaggerated puff sleeves from Milla Nova, making for a playful yet bold statement on the red carpet.
✅ Bridal Match: 'Geneva' by Darla Haute Couture
Same dramatic sleeves with a full-length silhouette for maximum aisle impact.
The sleek asymmetrical neckline seen on Naomi Campbell is a subtle but impactful choice - its one-shoulder design offers a modern edge while maintaining a clean silhouette.
✅ Bridal Match: 'Knox' by Justin Alexander
Clean lines and one-shoulder design perfect for an elegant, modern bride.
Structured and sculptural, the folded neckline trend is the eptiome of minimalist sophistication. Mai Omar in Rami Kadi opted for a fashion-forward fold at the neckline, mirrored in Paloma Blanca’s bridal number. Both dresses offer a subtle sheen too - the cherry on top.
✅ Bridal Match: ‘Style P5164' by Paloma Blanca
A sleek mermaid shape with the same dramatic neckline, ideal for brides with a love for minimalism.
We loved the romantic layering in the Dior gown worn by Jennifer Lawrence - the Allure Couture bridal counterpart translated this dreamy texture into a tiered ballgown that blends whimsy with glamour, ideal for a statement bridal entrance.
✅ Bridal Match: ‘C791' by Allure Couture
Flowing tiers and soft volume for a fairy-tale silhouette.
The cross-halter neckline in Diane Kruger's custom Prada dress not only offers visual interest, but softly frames the shoulders - also seen in 'Abira' by Rosa Clara which continues the sculpt from top to toe.
✅ Bridal Match: ‘Abira' by Rosa Clara
Fresh structure with feminine lines - perfect for a refined yet modern celebration.
Capes made a dramatic appearance at Cannes, adding instant drama - and we loved it. Tala Alkeel's puffed drop sleeves brought a level of effortlessness, and the bridal iteration by Reem Acra used the cape to elevate even the simplest gown to something majestic.
✅ Bridal Match: ‘R1030' by Reem Acra
A cape adds regality (and can also double as a contemporary veil alternative - win win!)
Structured and sculptural, Emma Stone's architectural neckline stood out as a power move on the Cannes carpet. With its bold lines and clean tailoring, Louis Vuitton brought a futuristic edge to bridalwear. Veni Infantino also captured that same sculptural elegance with the 'Heatherly' dress, offering high impact and sophistication.

Minimalist silhouette meets avant-garde detail.
A little texture goes a long way, and feather trims proved that perfectly. Elsa Hosk's Anastasia Zadorina Couture gown was enveloped in thick feathers around the hem, offering a charming take on the 1950's boudoir style. Malina's bridal version captured this flirty flair in a more simple way, with a fun single sleeve dress perfect for the afterparty.
✅ Bridal Match: ‘Andrea' by Malina
Feathery accents and playfulness, for brides wanting to add charm and whimsy to their look.
Satin and silk reigned supreme on the Cannes Red Carpet, with gowns that draped effortlessly across the body, highlighting every curve. Both Chopard's dress for Ariana Greenblatt and 'Cheryl' by Halfpenny London bring bridal minimalism in its most sensual form - fluid, figure-skimming and beautiful.
✅ Bridal Match: ‘Cheryl' by Halfpenny London
Perfect for a sleek city wedding or an understated destination ceremony.
Cannes is known for daring fashion, and the deep V-neck and thigh-high slit combo this year didn’t disappoint. Barbara Palvin's Vivienne Westwood gown brought high fashion at its finest, mirrored in Maggie Sottero's 'Lafayette' - both bringing the volume AND the drama.
✅ Bridal Match: ‘Lafayette' by Maggie Sottero Designs
An option for the confident bride, wanting to balance sexiness with elegance.
3D florals, ruffles, and layered lace brought depth and romance to the red carpet. We're loving the highly tactile gowns at the moment - just as beautiful to feel as to look at. The Oscar de la Renta gown was adorned with feathers, and 'Nadia' by Calla Blanche was dripping in sparkling floral lace, but both proved that maximalism still has its moment.

High-texture gowns are back!
