We caught up with Katie Dell ahead of London Bridal Fashion Week
Katie Dodd is the designer behind Katie Dell. She graduated with a BA Hons in Fashion Design in 2013 and went on to work for a prestigious London Designer for three years. This then fuelled her dream to have her own bridal business, Katie Dell, which was launched in 2017.
I launched my first bridal studio Katie Dell back in 2017 after moving to Leicestershire. Inspired by red carpet fashion, and anything pretty, Katie Dell bridal designs are all about elegance and modern style.
With the understanding of a brides desired style, I can create and design collections which will emulate the bride not shadow her. The designs offer a variety of different looks featuring skirts, trousers, dresses, tops and capes which can be styled to make each bride feel unique and the best version of herself.

The inspiration for this collection came from my extensive archive journal which I have kept since I was 18. It contains beautiful colour palettes taken from national geographic magazines, silhouettes of architecture, iconic dresses from history and anything that has caught my eye in magazines.
I wanted this collection to make every bride feel like she had her own personal dress even if it’s from one collection, which is why it contains many additional pieces which the bride can layer to create a different look to match her own unique style.
The most popular style last year was the figure-hugging Hadley Skirt that has a high to low hem which really shows off your shoes and the illusion tulle long sleeved Maribel Top that has individually sewn lace applique flowers on it.
However this year I think the Dell Skirt will be a huge hit, with its exquisite feather tulle fabric. It’s a real wow factor of the collection.

The new line is made up of floaty pleated palazzo trousers, draped chiffon overskirts, plunging necklines and dreamy full skirts. With an array of exquisite fabrics, feathered tulle, shimmer roses, pleats, sequins and soft smooth plains.
Entering the new chapter of Katie Dell, we are looking at branching out into the wholesale market, to allow brides both UK based and internationally to have easier access to the Katie Dell brand.
I will be bringing my exciting new brand to the wholesale market, giving boutiques the option to stock the new collection. With luxurious fabrics and elegant silhouettes, Katie Dell styles are sure to be something boutiques desire to have.
