On Our Radar: Things We've Loved This Month

From fashion to festive soirées, this month has given us plenty to swoon over. As we look back at Bridal Week and a flurry of new trends, dresses, and after-party glamour, we’ve rounded up the things that truly caught our eye this April. Here’s what stood out to me this spring…

Bridal Week & After Party Recap

The show set the tone for the upcoming season with a beautiful blend of timeless elegance and bold, modern statements. This year’s collections proved that bridal fashion is all about balancing heritage with fresh, expressive style. Contoured corsetry, statement neck scarves, and romantic lace took centre stage, while oversized bows, voluminous ruffles, and textured sleeves added dramatic flair. Adding to the buzz, there were captivating catwalk showcases hosted by brands, offering buyers an up-close look at the movement and craftsmanship behind each design.

Off the show floor, the energy continued well into the night as the after parties came alive. Think disco lights, sparkling rosé courtesy of Aphrodise, a buzzing photo booth brought to life with Justin Alexander, vodka luges thanks to Bridify, chocolate fountain from Casablanca, a tattoo & glitter bar presented in collaboration with Rachel Allan, and a glam makeup station set up in partnership with So Shelley Social—all creating the perfect backdrop for a packed dance floor of industry insiders letting their hair down.

Collection Highlights of the Month

This month, we’re captivated by two stunning bridal collections that beautifully merge timeless romance with modern elegance.

Ines Di Santo’s "Le Nouveau Jardin" transports brides into a whimsical garden with its delicate floral motifs and structured silhouettes. The whole collection felt like poetry in motion. Soft pastels, intricate embroidery, and flowing fabrics come together to create a dreamy, yet contemporary aesthetic—offering brides a perfect blend of romance and freshness.

Meanwhile, Katherine Tash’s latest collection, "Timeless Romance Reimagined," continues to redefine modern elegance. With clean lines, luxurious fabrics, and subtle details, her gowns embody sophistication. Designed for versatility, these dresses seamlessly transition from ceremony to celebration, making them ideal for the bride who seeks both style and functionality.

Trends & Expectations

The "Wedding Weekenders" trend is gaining traction, with couples opting for multi-day celebrations. This allows for a variety of events, from welcome dinners to post-wedding brunches, offering brides multiple fashion opportunities. Designers are responding with versatile pieces like detachable skirts and convertible gowns to ensure brides shine throughout their extended celebrations. Click here to read more.

Meanwhile, we asked bridal expert Danni Hesketh about meeting consumer expectations under the evolving bridal trends. Brides are more style-conscious and informed than ever, with social media platforms driving bridal choices. As a result, boutiques are adapting by offering customisable gowns, embracing sustainable practices, and creating immersive shopping experiences that align with the modern bride’s values and individuality. Retailer Highlights

This April, we’ve loved seeing how retailers continue to inspire brides with style, flair, and thoughtful service.

First up, Little Pearl Bridal Boutique brought back the Old Hollywood glamour this month with the stunning ‘Desiree’ dress from Eva Lendel. Perfect for brides looking for a standout evening look, this gown channels vintage elegance with a modern twist. It’s a sultry, sophisticated option that proves timeless style never goes out of fashion. Would you add this dramatic beauty to your boutique’s rails?

At You Are Precious, we were reminded just how important it is to trust your stylist. In one of their recent posts, a bride finds “the one” on the very first pick—proof that with a few thoughtful questions and a lot of heart, these bridal pros know exactly how to match the right dress with the right bride. Communication and dedication is key, those are the magic moments that make bridal retail so special.

And let’s talk about Nadine Merabi, bold bridal guest energy took centre stage with a red-hot co-ord that’s perfect for everything from summer soirées to bachelorette parties. Whether you’re celebrating as a guest, heading to a destination event, or just bringing the heat to the party, this fiery look is your sign to add a pop of colour, break the mould, and have a little fun with your summer party wardrobe. Honestly, it’s the summer party guest look I didn’t know I needed.

Wrapping Up the Month in Style

From Bridal Week buzz to trend-setting boutique owners, this month has reminded us why we love the ever-evolving world of bridal. Whether it’s the rise of weekend-long weddings, statement gowns that break tradition, or the personal touches that happen in boutique fitting rooms, one thing’s clear—2025 brides are doing it their way. We’re here for the drama, the details, and everything in between. Until next time, stay inspired and keep celebrating love in style.
