A pioneer in Sustainable Luxury Bridal, Sanyukta Shrestha is a multi-award-winning designer with a cult following of women across the world celebrating the luxurious organic, vegan, cruelty free, sustainable, and ethically made “one of a kind” pieces, ensuring the protection of the skin and the highly comfortable feel.
Recognised by the media as “the dawn of the sustainable movement” and “the Greta of the Wedding World’’, the Nepalese born British Designer has redefined the luxury market whilst empowering women in developing countries since 1998 and was among the first to introduce sustainability to the UK bridal industry in 2011.
Honoured with several national & international awards for her graceful creations and innovative approach of empowering women in developing countries, one of the designer’s bridal creations is preserved in The Fashion Museum, Bath since 2012, which houses world renowned fashion designers like Alexander McQueen, Vivian Westwood and Valentino.

Can you talk about the brand’s relationship with the UK bridal market?

Since the launch of our sustainable bridal collection in 2011, the UK bridal industry has given us so much Love, Admirations and Awards for our innovative creations and vision. We feel blessed and very grateful to be a niche part of this amazing industry and will continue our commitment and dedication towards its green future.

What inspired the current collection?

Our Iconic Bridal collection features the best selling curated signature Sanyukta Shrestha dresses that are luxurious, indulgent, and unique but also sustainable and fair-trade. The daring yet elegant silhouettes of the collection portray the ‘Sanyukta Shrestha Woman’; A contemporary muse who doesn’t follow fashion, but rather prefers to make her own statement by embracing her own nature and individuality. Sanyukta’s “Zero waste” philosophy was a strong influence for upcycling and incorporating different elements from her strongest creations so far, recreating an eclectic mix of innovation and sustainable timeless design while staying true to her ethics and eco-friendly approach that the ethical, season-less and timeless bridal the designer is widely known for.

What kind of brides do you envisage wearing your pieces?

Brides who want to feel naturally sexy, comfortable, and confident while staying true to her belief and personality, this collection is reflective of those elements and the different facets of the Sanyukta Shrestha woman who respects the world around her with compassion. ‘‘I believe in reflecting the individuality of my brides through my designs as trends change but truly good designs should stand the test of time. I think ultimately, that is what I aim for every time I begin work on each bridal piece for my bride."
