The new year is upon us, and with it, a new buying season. With world-renowned London Bridal Fashion Week just around the corner, we explore what the industry can expect from the trailblazing fashion event
Fashion and creativity are at the heart of London Bridal Fashion Week - celebrating the beautiful, artisan products that our industry creates, brands from around the world choose to show their collections here. Each year the event goes above and beyond to create a spectacular buying environment, that is harmonious with the premium, fashion-led products that LBFW represents.
Cassandra Denman, Head of Bridal (London) says “When people visit London Bridal Fashion Week, we want them to feel like they’ve been somewhere special – that they have a backstage pass to the latest collections, and a first look at future bridal trends. As a result of this, LBFW 2020 will be the most visually stunning event that we’ve ever produced. Last year our ‘Best of Britain’ theme celebrated the show’s location in one of the most iconic cities in the world. This year we’ll be creating an exciting new identity, with a modern approach that will have visitors reaching for their camera phones!”
On the Sunday evening, LBFW will be hosting a free to attend party for the show’s visitors and exhibitors. At 6pm, head over to the Champagne Bar for complimentary food, drinks and live entertainment. On the Monday evening LBFW’s Big Night Out featuring the RBA Awards will return with an iconic new venue, the luxurious Sunborn Yacht, conveniently located just a few steps from ExCeL London. Tickets for LBFW’s Big Night Out featuring the RBA Awards will be released soon.
Denman adds, “LBFW is first and foremost a buying event – but it’s also so much more than this. The people that attend are deeply invested in the bridal market, many have been in the industry for years, if not decades! It’s an industry built on trust and relationships, which is why opportunities like LBFW, where the whole industry can come together and celebrate are so important.”
The Bridal Retail Success Academy will return with an exciting new line-up of industry professionals. Confirmed speakers include Megan Garmers ‘Selling Techniques to Close the Modern Bride’ and Syvo ‘Brick & Click: The Future of Connected Retail’. One-to-one sessions will be available in the Business Advice Clinic with a range of industry experts, the full line-up of which will be announced shortly.
Denman concludes, “Our 2020 slogan ‘In unity there is strength’ articulates our core belief – that a united industry is a successful one. When we come together, we open the possibility of discussion, learning and opportunity. We look forward to welcoming the global bridal community in March, and to facilitating conversations and relationships that will strengthen the industry as a whole.”
