White Gallery is the high-end, couture section of London Bridal Fashion Week; synonymous with luxury, prestige and exclusivity. It is a trading environment like no other, with a standard of excellence that remains unmatched by any event of its kind.

Originally launched in 2009 to give high-end bridal designers a platform to present their new collections to the world’s most discerning retailers, the event is now the ultimate destination for designer brands, luxury retailers and the fashion press.

Carefully curated, the show admits only those designers that have completed a detailed application form and passed a rigorous vetting process to ensure the quality and standards of the event are upheld.

Following this, the form is then passed on to a bridal panel consisting of key bridal professionals who judge each application. Factors of acceptance include the number of stockists (both UK and international considered), manufacturing process, years in the industry, price point (wholesale and retail), stockist testimonials and credibility within the industry (awards, acknowledgements etc).

This year’s trade show was the first for fashion label Lilly and Charles. Looking for an appropriate introduction into the bridal market they decided to apply to be exhibitors.

Carolina Turner, the designer behind the brand said, “With its prestige reputation we couldn’t think of anywhere better to launch our first-ever bridal collection. With all our products designed and manufactured in the UK, we pride ourselves in being a British label, therefore we thought launching at White Gallery would be perfect.”

“The runway show was one of the main reasons we were attracted to the show – we thought it would be a fantastic way to present all our designs to the industry,” she adds.

“The application process was very positive and was made so effortlessly easy by the lovely Charlotte Speer. We were ecstatic when we found out that we were accepted and even more thrilled by the support we had following it. The team helped with every aspect and produced some high-quality marketing material that we could use on our website and social media channels.”

“We had so much fun showcasing our collection at White Gallery 2019. We met so many amazing people and made great connections – it was a truly unforgettable experience. If you’re thinking of applying in 2020 and your brand fits the criteria then just go for it!” says Carolina.
