Richard Quinn
July saw Richard Quinn unveil his breathtaking Evening and Bridal collections in true high-fashion style, hosting an exclusive press showcase at the iconic Dorchester Hotel. Set against a backdrop of timeless elegance, the event captured Quinn’s signature blend of drama and romance, with sculptural silhouettes, luxurious fabrics and exquisite embellishments stealing the spotlight.

Design and Disability at the V&A
At Bridal Buyer, we’re always inspired by the V&A in South Kensington; from its archive of historic fashion to iconic exhibitions like Cartier. But on a recent visit, it was the Design and Disability exhibition that truly stole our hearts.

A standout piece is an adaptive wedding dress from the 1960s, worn by Janet Jones. Born with a missing hip joint and one leg longer than the other, Janet worked with tailors throughout her life to ensure her clothes fit well. The dress is a masterclass in thoughtful, adaptive design. Curator Natalie Kane explains it was carefully tailored to suit Janet’s body while keeping a dreamy sixties silhouette. Also on display are Janet’s hand-painted orthopaedic wedding shoes, customised by the bride with white leather paint. A scrap of pink confetti still clings to one heel, a beautiful reminder of her day. Tickets are available until 15th February 2026.

Mabel’s Iconic Wedding Styles
At Bridal Buyer, our love for the V&A runs deep… but nothing prepared us for the fairytale unfolding within its storied walls this July. Pop star Mabel – daughter of music icon Neneh Cherry – married Preye Crooks at St Stephen Walbrook Church, followed by a lavish reception at the museum.

Mabel wore several standout styles over her wedding weekender.

We adore the bespoke OWN Studio gown she chose for the ceremony, matched with Manolo Blahnik heels and Hassanzadeh jewellery. For the reception, she traded tradition for vintage glamour: a strapless corseted Dolce & Gabbana gown with a sweeping train and oversized pink bow. At the rehearsal dinner, she stunned in a sculptural custom Feben dress in ivory satin, featuring dramatic draping and a sharp silhouette.

Dotty Bridal’s New Flagship
We are in awe of the work Dotty Bridal has put into their upcoming £700k flagship store in Wakefield – opening this summer! Spread across four floors, in a beautifully renovated mill near The Hepworth, the 16,500 sq ft space will showcase around 300 gowns from brands like Pronovias, Justin Alexander, Wona Concept and Dotty’s own label, Nori Ivy.

But it’s more than just dresses. There’ll be a café bar, accessory lounge and the launch of Dotty’s new mother-of-the-bride line, MOB. “Our flagship Wakefield store will be the destination for bridal wear and accessories in the UK,” says founder Shannon Martin. “We haven’t seen a store anywhere else in the country that is anything like what we’ll be offering.” With great transport links and space to grow, Dotty’s next chapter is set to impress.

Fresh Looks from EDit Veils
We’re ready to walk down the aisle in EDit Veils’ latest collection, debuting at Bridal Week this September. Known for pushing bridal style boundaries, EDit Veils returns with new fabrics and a bold take on texture and volume. “More is more!” says founder Helen, perfectly capturing the collection’s dramatic flair.

Retailers can expect 15-20 new styles alongside EDit’s bestselling legacy pieces. Highlights include statement lace-edged veils like Raine and Rockstar, set to be big hits thanks to their bold, elegant finishes. Helen also spotlights custom blushers, crafted to deliver “maximum impact” for brides who want to truly stand out.

This season, Helen says it is all about “Main Character Energy,” and every veil in the line is designed to reflect that mood. Handmade in the UK, Edit Veils can offer bespoke lengths and fast turnarounds – ideal for last-minute orders and retailers who need flexibility without sacrificing style.
