Tell us about the history of the brand.

Tania Olsen Designs is an Australian-based label that crafts timeless yet modern pieces for every special occasion. We’ve been creating bridesmaid, wedding and formal dresses for more than 10 years, and pride ourselves on offering a wide range of silhouettes and fabrications so every customer can find their perfect dress.
We are known by our clients for our high-quality craftsmanship, colour rich fabrics and flattering designs. As a testament to our quality, versatility and impeccable tailoring, you can find our designs in more than 200 boutiques world-wide. Our gowns are also available in sizes UK 4-40, as we are committed to inspiring people of all shapes and sizes to glow with confidence at all their special events.

Can you talk about the brand’s relationship with the UK bridal market?

2021 was our first year in the UK market, and we welcomed over 25 new stores to our network of boutiques. Going into our second year in the region, we are so excited to be bringing our 2022 collection to Bridal Week Harrogate and are looking forward to continued growth in the UK.

What are the brand’s top secrets to success?

Accessibility is the foundation to our success in such a competitive industry. We strongly value inclusivity which is reflected in our wide range of sizes, silhouettes and price ranges. All our styles are thoughtfully designed and undergo extensive sampling to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident in one of our dresses! We sell attainable luxury. Quality is extremely important to us and our in-house quality control team meticulously check every single dress before it is sent on to the customer. Our designs are impeccably made and many are hand-finished with couture details - all at an unexpected price point!

Can you tell us five interesting facts about the brand?

1. Tania has always had a deep passion for design and has been sewing since she was 8 years old.
2. Our brand first started in bridesmaid and formal gowns which allowed us to perfect our fit and streamline our supply chain before we transitioned into the bridal market.
3. We are a small, close-knit team so we bring a personal touch to all customer interactions. We are known for our high level of customer service and have built strong relationships with all our stockists.
4. We know that time differences can make things difficult, so we’ve developed a dedicated wholesale portal for 24/7 seamless ordering.
5. Extensive delivery time frames are common in the special occasion industry (especially in the last 2 years!). We hold a large amount of stock-on-hand across our international warehouses, significantly lowering delivery time frames on orders from several months to a few days.

What inspired the current collection?

REVER was inspired by the strong architectural lines of the city in contrast with the unpredictability of nature. As the pandemic forced us to disconnect from the world, we found ourselves exploring our hometowns and gaining a deeper appreciation for what we have close by. REVER is a celebration of the joy and wonder we found in our little corner of paradise. The collection transitions from voluminous gowns to refined, easy-to-wear styles. Fabrics and embellishments are repeated throughout the collection in a variety of styles to offer our brides a wide selection.

What kind of brides do you envisage wearing your pieces?

This new collection truly has something for everybody. Our collections always include a wide variety of fabrics, silhouettes and finishings to suit every dream wedding. As our wedding dresses are all available from sizes UK 4-40, every bride can find their perfect one.
