Tell us the company’s history, how you started and how the brand has developed.
Kelsey Rose started as the rebellious sister of Ellis Bridals with a fun, fresh bridal collection evolving through bridesmaids and evening wear collections and now we have taken the brand back to its roots. Passionate about individuality, our range of wedding dresses, separates and accessories allow brides to express their personality and customise their own bridal style. Whether you’re looking for boho luxe or city chic we have something for every modern bride.
What sets Kelsey Rose apart from others in the industry?
Kelsey Rose offers a lower price point without compromising on style or quality. We cover multiple looks from boho luxe to minimal city chic but the underlying thread that runs through the collection is a light-hearted and informal take on bridal fashion. Each piece is curated with the wearer in mind to ensure she feels comfortable, lined in jersey for the ultimate effortless feel so she can dance the night away.
What inspired your your latest collection, and how do you stay current with fashion trends?
When designing Kelsey Rose we are always inspired by relaxed weddings. From elopements to garden parties, destination weddings to registry office ceremonies - our starting point is always an informal take on bridal style.
Can you talk us through the full creative process?
At the beginning of each season research is done into the upcoming trends for the season. We also carefully look at what our brides have been loving from the past season, taking inspiration from them.
Lace choices and detailing are what makes a Kelsey Rose dress so we work on sourcing new and exciting laces to introduce to the collection. We experiment with layering lace trims, creating new and exciting design ideas with a fashion twist.
Each dress goes through a meticulous fitting process to perfect every single seam.
What design trends have emerged from the new collection?
Detachable elements like bows and sleeves continue as a theme for 2024, allowing brides to create their own look. For a bride looking for even more personalisation, we have brand new bridal separates too! Including our fun new feather trimmed crop top, perfect for registry office ceremonies, hen parties or second looks!
Why is Bridal Week so important to you, and what does the near future hold?
It’s a great way to connect with our existing retailers as well as introducing us to new opportunities within the industry. The retailers get to fully experience the collection and get to know the faces behind the brand. We hope to keep delivering fresh designs, a beautiful marketing campaign along with excellent customer service. Our aim is to have a fantastic product along with great marketing and customer service, our plan is to keep that consistent.
