Modeca have over 70 years’ experience in bridal and felt that now was the right time to introduce their third collection. “We have always been jazzing up the bridal industry,” explains Dick van Zutphen, owner and director of Modeca, “Especially during the last four seasons. It’s now time for us at Modeca to, let’s say, visualise our passion of jazzing things up with a new collection.

“This collection comes along like a magic box with many different elements you can combine with each other. It’s like music, creating your own melody of design. It’s like jazz, because jazz as a music style is characterised by call and response vocals, polyrhythms and improvisation. All these elements are also combined in our Jazz by Modeca collection.

“With many different elements of this collection, a bride can create her own bridal outfit and can design her own dress, giving her own personal handwriting to her bridal style.”

The collection consisted of lots of pieces brides can mix and match to create individual looks – lace top parts and several skirts and trousers in different fabrics can be combined to cater for a variety of shapes and styles.

The full collection has been drawn by Anna Wijnans, a young Dutch illustrator and brides can use these images on the Modeca website to create the bridal outfit of their dreams, before heading to their local store to try it on for real.
