What inspired your latest collection, and how do you stay current with bridal fashion trends?
The Camellia collection has been designed for the modern bride of today. In 2024 the concept of marriage can be an archaic concept. At LYLA LUPA, we focus on the woman rather than the bride. We want her to fell confident, powerful and sexy. Whilst she chooses to embark on the beautiful tradition of marriage and commitment, this collection celebrates the momentous events in her bridal journey and the styles to be worn again and again.
Can you describe the creative process, from initial concept through to final product?
In the heart of London in Hoxton, Co-Founder’s Georgina and Catherine focus on true development of the creative process. From brainstorming design ideas, detailed development of fabric, focused fitting sessions they are not afraid to be bold in their vision and plans to be leaders within the bridal industry. All aspects of the process have been carefully considered and it has taken months of dedicated planning, as this project is so close to our hearts. Every part of each design has been thoughtfully considered and fitted to excellence. The designs, packaging and vision for the initial collection and future pieces, are to enhance the bride’s experience at every special moment.
Is there a single piece which embodies the vision of the whole collection?
The Camellia embroidered robe encapsulates the premium quality of fabric, fantastic fit and sentimental design aspects of Georgina’s grandmother. The item also is finished with the words ‘I choose you’ embroidered on the left hand cuff, highlighting our brand message that Lyla Lupa items are to be treasured and passed on for generations to come.
