The next installment of Bridgerton is about to hit our screens… so to get you in the mood, we’re taking a closer look at this historically inspired collection of classic wedding gowns – Bridgerton meets bridal!

Last year, when Bridal Buyer heard about the collaboration between Allure Bridals and Lyn Paolo, the renowned costume designer, we couldn’t have been more excited. The Emmy Award winner is regarded for her exceptional talent in creating breathtaking, historically-inspired costumes. Now, her expertise and creative vision have been instrumental in bringing the Georgian era (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story) and Regency era (Bridgerton) to life in the Bridgerton bridal line – it features stunning gowns with the essence of Regencycore fashion – characterised by intricate lace details, luxurious fabrics and exquisite embellishments.

The new collection caters to various bridal styles – offering both structured, timeless elegance and some softer airy styles, which both blend romantic allure with contemporary cuts. The designs are versatile, too, with many options for detachable and add-on accessories, so that brides can customise their looks. In addition, the collection is complemented by a range of veils, all with delicate detailing and embroidery that enhance the regal charm.

This stunning collection not only captures the essence of the Bridgerverse’s sumptuous style, but also offers brides a connection to the show’s beloved characters and settings – a dream come true for fans and fashion-forward brides who want a touch of royal glamour.

Read on for some of our favourites from the collection, and hear what Allure has to say about the styles, too…

Bridgerton meets bridal: Hot picks

Style BR1013

  • BB says: This dress feels regal. If you have a bride who wants a look fit for a queen, then your search is over. The level of detail is stunning, the satin panel work, the edging of the sleeves, the structural bodice, and of course, the beautiful curve of the portrait neckline.
  • Allure says: “Ladies of the ton, it is our delight to introduce a ballgown so glorious, it is pure royalty! This satin gown features an elegant portrait neckline, pleated Basque waist and tapered sleeves. Sequined, beaded appliqués overlay the bodice and skirt.”

Style BR1007

  • BB says: If your bride wants something that embodies true romance, then this is the perfect look. The style is captivating and pretty from every angle. The lace pattern, and delicate edging to the sleeves and hem is something truly swoon-worthy.
  • Allure says: “The soft timelessness of Chantilly lace is the highlight of this soft, A-line gown. Capelet-style lace sleeves and a squared neckline lend a demure beauty to the simplicity of this bridal look.”

Style BR1004

  • BB says: The structure of this gown’s bodice is a stunning feature, adding architecture to the style, which flows in tiers down the skirt. The thigh-high slit adds the perfect dramatic detail, and an extra sensual appeal.
  • Allure says: “Coquettish in all the right ways, this accordion-pleated tulle gown flares in a soft A-line silhouette. A detachable cathedral overskirt lengthens the sweep train of the frothy layered skirt into something truly spectacular.”

Style BR1005

  • BB says: This dress is the epitome of regency charm. The pleats at the waist, the stunning square bodice and the prettiest sleeves. It’s such a flattering and timeless look. The clean lines let the quality of the fabric and the cut do all the talking.
  • Allure says: “Brides will certainly be turning every head in this Mikado gown. With full A-line skirting and a classic silhouette, topped with silky puffed sleeves, this look is available in traditional ivory as well as a soft mauve.”

Style BR1011

  • BB says: There is something really graceful and classic about this style – we can imagine this appealing to brides who want a formal look. We love the structure of the bust and waist, and the illusion sleeves ensure it still feels fresh and fashionable.
  • Allure says: “Ornate sequined lace appliqués scroll down the sheer illusion sleeves, organza bodice and full skirt of this ballgown — one worthy of a duchess.”
