Can you give us an insight into some of the brands exhibiting at this year’s show?

SposaItalia is at the forefront of the bridal world and, as always, this edition will feature the brands that have made the industry great. Ours is a constant work of selection at the origin, which “rewards” the best bridal designers, and we are oriented as always towards the search for talent and the best interpretation of Italian and international style. There will be 200 companies participating. To name a few, there will be Elisabetta Polignano, Amelia Casablanca, Emiliano Bengasi, Eddy K., Yukinori Morinaga, Randy Fenoli, and Maison Signore. Among the new entries, I would like to mention CHIARA BONI La Petite Robe, a well-known Italian brand recognised worldwide for its extremely feminine style, which has chosen our trade fair as a strategic moment to present its bridal collection to the market. There is no lack of interesting and innovative niche companies with exclusive proposals - such as silk robes de chambre by Luna di Seta, bridal lingerie by Oroblu, oriental accessories Made in Lebanon by Bbloomed, and shoe collections by Danira Calzature - alongside emerging names under the radar of international fashion such as Elizabeth Passion, Eva Lendel and Asli Dogan.

Are there any special features at the show?

Sì SposaItalia Collezioni has unique features that enrich the exhibition proposal with many events within the show. Once again this year, there will be three days of fashion shows, the first of which will be entirely dedicated to Italian brands. For buyers, it is a unique opportunity to discover the new collections live and transform their participation in the trade fair into a real experience. For exhibitors, it is an irreplaceable moment to show their dresses and accessories as “lived” and ”brought to life” by the grace of the models present. This year’s fashion shows will feature the brands Andrea Versali, CHIARA BONI La Petite Robe, Dovita, Elisabetta Polignano, Emiliano Bengasi Couturier, Global Bridal House, Julia Kontogruni, Kigili, Michela Ferriero, Musani Couture, MySecret Sposa, Rara Avis....
Also new for this edition is a special area dedicated to accessories, which will be called Precious Bride by Homi Fashion&Jewels. It will be dedicated to the presentation of jewellery collections for the bridal segment, with a range of proposals ranging from classic to contemporary styles.

Can you tell us five interesting facts about Si Sposa?

  1. I can only start with our host city: Milan. The Italian metropolis with its tradition of fashion and design is an unrivalled setting that offers buyers endless opportunities to discover beauty in all its forms, even outside the event. Sposaitalia was established here in 1982 and has been serving the market with the highest standards of style for over 40 years.
  2. The originality of its offering is an important distinguishing feature of Sposaitalia: alongside the big names of the international bridal industry, one can find the best Italian brands that choose Sposaitalia every year as well as unique companies with products for niche markets. A select bouquet of brands that make Sposaitalia Collezioni unique.
  3. The fashion shows, which I mentioned a moment ago, are the beating heart of the event: an always exciting moment that year after year confirms the event as an appointment to be experienced that goes beyond business.
  4. Our strengths also include versatility: Sì Sposaitalia does not just follow trends, it creates them, turning every event into a window on the future of the industry, whether one is looking at style trends or seeking out precise indications on what type of dress or accessory to invest in as a buyer.
  5. As a final point I want to mention sustainability. In fact, Fiera Milano has started a structured process of measuring the carbon footprint of our events with the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) methodology and has formalised this commitment within our sustainability plan. This is why we have decided to support the “Net Carbon Zero Events” initiative promoted by UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, which aims at defining a shared strategy for measuring and reducing the emissions of the trade fair system by committing to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

Dates and Location

The next edition of Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni takes places from 14 to 17 April 2023 in Milan (Allianz MiCo), a location in the city centre that offers the opportunity to be reached comfortably by any means of transport, from the metro to taxis. The opening of the event lights up the city and makes for an intense week of promotion for the bridal world that brings all the effervescence of the bridal sector to Milan.
