Tell us a little bit about the brand

I studied Fashion Design in Melbourne before moving to Dublin and working in the bridal industry. The next natural step was to set up my own business and be creative by designing and creating my own range of bridal headdresses and accessories. Each piece is inspired by nature, and all these items are hand-designed, styled and created. The Emmy McCormick label is new and currently just stocked in three key Irish bridal stores.

What will you be bringing to The Harrogate Bridal Show?

I’ll be showing a bridal collection of over 50 pieces including headdresses, hairvines, hair drapes, fascinators, hair pins, cuffs and belts. Expect some delicate styles and a combination of laces and floral, natural-inspired designs. There will be lots of very soft wire work with beaded details and lace, too.

What do you think are some of the key bridal trends for the year ahead?

In terms of accessories, I think there’s a strong focus on the tiara again. I have included a few tiara-style pieces in my collection this year, which give a modern soft twist to the traditional, structured style.

Why did you decide to exhibit at The Harrogate Bridal Show?

Harrogate will be my first show to exhibit at. Having visited in the past as a buyer, I’m very excited to be attending the show to launch my own range. Harrogate is a key bridal fair for the UK and international bridal stores so will be a great place to present my collection.

We can’t wait to see the new line – discover the beautiful new pieces for yourself in the ‘New Names in Bridal’ area at stand KS5. theharrogatebridalshow.co.uk, 10-12 September 2017.
