Alfred Angelo announces further management changes

Alfred Angelo has announced the retirement of designer and chief creative officer Michele Piccione.

Michele, who is a member of the founding family, held the role of head designer followed by chief creative officer for more than 40 years. During that period she also designed the Christian Dior U.S.A. bridal line for over a decade, followed by the Givenchy bridal line.

“Michele Piccione’s many contributions have kept Alfred Angelo at the forefront of the bridal industry,” said Richard Anders, President and Chief Executive Officer at Alfred Angelo. “We wish Michele all the best in her future endeavors.” 

Michele Piccione’s father, Alfred Angelo Piccione, and his wife Edythe Piccione, founded Alfred Angelo over 80 years ago. She has has been recognised many times for her accomplishments, receiving numerous DEBI awards.

“I have met many extraordinary people and developed lifelong friendships throughout my career,” said Michele Piccione during a meeting at the Delray headquarters, “It’s truly been an honor, joy and a privilege to have worked  in an industry that has made dreams come true for brides across the world.”

Industry design veteran, Bill Pesce, who joined in November, will now serve as head designer and will be responsible for leading all bridal, bridesmaid, special occasion and flower girl development.

Last month it was announced that Alfred Angelo had appointed a new president and chief executive officer to manage the team across its worldwide operations.
