I support wedding business owners to create a strong and engaging online brand presence, helping you to develop a sustainable social media and online marketing strategy, targeting the right customer and giving you the know how to create badass content that converts! I work with clients on a 1:1 basis which include a variety of bespoke formats; intensive deep-dive sessions, social media power sessions, VIP in-store days and 12 week programmes.

Q: Where should I be focusing my efforts when it comes to social media?

A: Firstly you need to be really clear on who your ideal bride is. Where does she spend most of her time consuming information or looking for content? Then make sure you have a presence on those platforms. Review where your current traffic/bookings are coming from, is it Google, is it Insta, is it TikTok etc? If you don’t collate this kind of information from your current bookings, then I’d recommend you start doing this as it will help to steer your marketing going forward. Having a presence on more than one channel is going to be more beneficial for you in the long run. It doesn’t have to create you more work if you work smart and repurpose content, but it will mean your brides have more chance of seeing you and your content. Remember it takes between 7-14 times for someone to see your content before they even make a decision to do something with it.

Q: Why are brides not engaging with my content?

A: Standing out on social media can feel hard and in all honesty it doesn’t just happen over night. Check in with your current content schedule. Are you being consistent or are you posting sporadically? Being consistent is the first step to building your engagement. So be realistic with yourself as to how active you can be and stick to it. Planning your content on a regular basis will really help with this. Secondly are you connecting with your brides in your content or just showing them images of dresses? The bride of today wants to form a relationship with you. They want to feel part of your brand. Tell them how you can help them. Think about what they are possibly thinking at the different stages of their bridal journey and create content that satisfies these thoughts.

Q: What else can I be doing other than socials to increase my bookings?

A: One big tool that is often forgotten and is something that you own, is your website! Having a badass website that is fully optimised, user friendly and portrays your brand in the right way is key. Think about how your bride is used to shopping now. They want to see things instantly, they want to be able to get in touch instantly, they want to make bookings online. Does your website allow them to do all of this? Investing time into SEO is something we should all do more of. If you don’t understand it, seek some help. Often it’s just small fixes to your site but it can make such a difference on how much you are found, so it is so worth it.
If you don’t have an email list, now is your time to start building one. You can add so much more value to a bride during their wedding journey using this tool and again it’s something you own.
Collaborate to help widen your audience. Whether that be with events, creating content, influencers, your brides. Collaborating with others creates unique content, that is real and authentic, just what brides of today want to see!
