It’s official - the dates for the next edition of Bridal Week are in!

As Bridal Week sets up to launch another incredible event later this Autumn, we wanted to revisit the origins of the UK’s most-loved bridal buying event.

The Bridal Week Story

In 1983, six visionary bridal companies gathered in the basement of Harrogate’s St George Hotel, marking the inception of something far greater than they could have imagined. Word spread quickly, and with the wonderful Wendy Adams at the helm, the fair flourished and eventually earned its name - the Harrogate Bridal Exhibition.

In 1991, Bridal Buyer Magazine hit the shelves, giving the industry its first dedicated voice and extending the show’s influence far beyond Harrogate’s cobbled streets. A new century brought a new custodian, Ocean Media Group, who guided BBEH to its Silver Anniversary in 2008 and debuted its sister show in London, the nation’s fashion capital.

Now in 2025, Bridal Week continues to evolve - with our London show returning in March, and the iconic Harrogate show lighting up September.

As the essential guide to all things bridal fashion, Bridal Week Harrogate attracts top retailers and media from across the globe to the three-day buying event, lovingly coined by the bridal community as #HOMEOFBRIDAL. From basement beginnings to a global stage, Bridal Week is more than an exhibition. It’s a decades-long love story that continues to inspire, innovate and invite the world to join together.
