2026 is closer than you think - and it’s coming fast. Before you look at your plans, take a moment to hear what some of the best in the industry are saying. We asked some of our experts for one piece of advice they’d give bridal boutique owners setting their strategy - and their answer might just change how you approach the year ahead. Here are some of their top tips:

Peta Hunt, Freelance Fashion Stylist

Keep it fresh and look for new dresses that maybe are an elevation on your classic best seller. Don’t settle for ordinary! And make sure whoever you deal with has a great social and visual library. They need to really be on it and have a marketing team that will work with you, because without that you have a very limited shop window. If they produce good images, people will come, if they have a good presence on socials, people will come. Adding great pictures to your social can help to upgrade your own social channels and help alongside your own content.

Abi Neill, Founder of Abigail’s Collection and The Groom’s Room

As we head into 2026, I think strategy needs to be about authenticity and connection! I’d suggest taking a really good look at what’s worked for your boutique this year and have the courage to tweak or even stop what hasn’t. Be laser-focused and intentional with your buying, crystal clear with your numbers and frequent, proactive and creative with marketing! Don’t neglect plans for your own growth, protect your energy and find ways to enjoy the journey! A healthy, motivated and happy business owner will be the best strategy of all.

Megan Garmers, Business Consultant and Strategist

Before you plan your 2026 strategy, be sure to reassess your goals and your ideal client avatars. Your strategy needs to be a direct reflection of how your business is evolving and changing with the current market and industry specific to your ideal clients.

Joanna Southwell, Bridal Business Strategist

My top tip would be to build your bridal sales and marketing strategy around community in 2026. Think of ways your business can build a real connection with brides that lets them feel part of your brand’s community. In person, in-store events, engaging non-salesy online content and true personal service will deepen your connection and loyalty with your ideal clients. Creating this foundation will give you a clear path to follow and make sales easier to convert. If in doubt, chase value for your brides and the sales will follow!
