To launch their 2027 collections, Eva Lendel and WONA Concept chose a totally immersive experience with their El Jardín del Edén runway show. Set against the historic Jardines de Pedralbes, once part of the Güell family’s artistic estate, the runway unfolded within a landscape shaped by creativity and heritage. A raised aisle, framed by delicate spring florals and elegant wedding seating, was edged with sculptural paper birds poised mid-flight; an ethereal detail that echoed the garden’s legacy of art and imagination.

For us, the most impactful continuation throughout both collection is in the construction and the detail. These dresses are thoughtful and considered in their design, from the fit to the finishing touches that make them stand out. And of course, the added extras that bring a whole new aesthetic, from ruffle collars to lace chokers, capes to headscarves to veils. Beautiful satins, silks, laces, tulle and organza – textural choices felt elevated.

Eva Lendel: Less is More VI

The runway moved from soft sunset through to dusk, casting a beautiful, flattering light over the collection. Less is More, Chapter VI is the label’s homage to contemporary elegance. The runway showcased pure silhouettes and wearable styles that do not skimp on detail or structure, all with a sensual touch.

There was a dynamic mixture of sleek, body-skimming, fluid silhouettes and more voluminous styles with bold, airy skirts sat alongside delicate draping. Beautiful corsetry featured Basque or low-slung waists, and even peplums, paired with layered translucent skirts that moved and swayed with every step. There is a definite contrast between some of the clean, minimal styles and the more textural looks, offering beautiful choices for retailers and brides alike.

The core of the collection lies in its precision. From touches of lace against sleek satin, to balloon hems, ruched flowers and delicate bows, everything has been intentionally placed. Enhanced with options for detachable layers, sleeves or gloves, there is a lot going on in terms of detail and placement, yet it has all been executed with restraint.

WONA Concept: Maison Blanche

WONA’s new collection, Maison Blanche, is crafted with a nod to châteauesque grandeur and the elegance of French aristocracy. An accomplished collection of 30 new styles, all thoughtfully created using couture techniques, it showcases an almost architectural grace. WONA opened just after sunset with a daring first look. A sensual black gown, with a translucent skirt, moulded-bust corset and touches of lace, which offered architecture in motion, and the perfect announcement of what was to come.

There were other black dresses and black accessories, too, all adding a vampy vibe in the best possible way. It was a triumph of bold, head-turning details, from hemlines to necklines. Corsetry, capes, exaggerated hips, ruffles, layers, peplums – each style had plenty packed into the design. This is not a collection for shrinking violets, and of course, why should it be. It is creative, artful and sensual, mixing texture and detail, making lace feel edgy, cool and couture all at once.

Capes, collars, skull caps; the show was accessorised to perfection. Offering a sense of what can be achieved, and how pieces can feel more individual with just a few unique tweaks. A masterclass in wedding day dressing for those who dare to stand out, bold and beautiful.
