Ahead of next week’s event, Textile Forum predicts increasing demand for decorative fabrics and vivid colours
Ahead of the event next we, we are seeing a greater interest in decorative fabrics and vivid colours, say the organisers of Textile Forum. The luxury fashion fabric show, that will take place during 11 – 12 March at One Marylebone, London, will host over 100 collections.
“Designers will be showing increased signs of loyalty and want to work even more closely with their fabric suppliers,” explains Amy Packham, event director, Textile Forum.
“This means the latter are not just developing the core products for which they have become well-known but sourcing additional qualities to broaden their appeal, which in turn is making the market even more competitive and exciting.”
Among those exhibiting will be Pongees, who has recently taken on the UK agency for Portuguese supplier Sanmartin. Alongside this, Bennett Silks will be offering new silk and linen suiting qualities and Bernstein & Banleys has a dozen fresh designs in its printed lining collection to meet the demand for fun.
Storrs London, a first-time exhibitor, will offer colour at the heart of its printed super fine cotton lawns, influenced by the English Arts and Crafts movement. Chrisanne Clover, whose high-performance fabrics are available in a vast palette will also offer vivid colours too.
In addition to exhibitors of fabric, trimmings, buttons and labels, there are specialist garment and accessory manufacturers in the UKFT supported zone. These include Intimate Apparel Samples, Plus Samples, Ruth Glen, Sew It In London and Unlimited Fashion.
Amy Packham continues by saying, “Textile Forum is a one-stop sourcing solution for designers and we can’t wait to meet you all at the event.”
