Where did you look for creative inspiration when designing the pieces?

Finding creative inspiration for designing wedding dresses can come from a variety of sources.
The natural landscape of where we are based in California offers an abundance of inspiration. Consider the beauty of flowers, leaves, trees, and landscapes - we take the colours, textures, and organic shapes and translate them into stunning wedding dress designs. There is so much inspiration from the natural landscapes to the coastline to more rustic forests. We draw upon our surrounding elements during our design process.

What was it like seeing the designs come to life on the catwalk?

Witnessing our designs come to life on the catwalk is an exhilarating experience. It’s a moment when our creative vision transforms into a tangible reality, and it’s truly mesmerizing. What makes it even more special is how each design takes on a distinct character when worn by different individuals. Every person’s unique body shape and presence breathe life into our creations, showcasing their individual beauty in a remarkable way.

Can you talk us through the design process for this collection?

The journey of creating this collection begins with a spark of inspiration and a clear intention. We carefully cultivate the concepts and themes that will define the collection, ensuring that they resonate with our vision and the message we aim to convey.

Once our inspiration is solidified, we dive into the intricate details of design. This involves a meticulous exploration of silhouettes, finishing touches, and the selection of fabrics that will bring our vision to life. Our commitment to artistry and the highest craftsmanship is unwavering; every element is chosen with the aim of showcasing each design in its most exquisite form.

It’s important to note that our design process is not a hurried one. We take the necessary time and effort, often dedicating months to perfecting a single design. This dedication to perfection ensures that each piece in the collection is a true masterpiece, embodying our passion and creativity.

What fabrics and materials did you incorporate into these pieces?

In these pieces, we incorporated a selection of premium fabrics and materials to bring our designs to life.

To infuse our designs with a touch of opulence and intricate detailing, we incorporated lavish beaded fabrics. These fabrics add a sense of glamour and luxury, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the pieces. The meticulous beadwork creates a dazzling effect that captures attention.

Crepe is a versatile and flowing fabric that lends a sense of grace and fluidity to our collection. We utilized crepe for its drape and comfort, allowing our designs to move beautifully with the wearer. This choice ensures that the pieces are not only visually striking but also comfortable to wear throughout the special occasion.

These fabrics were carefully selected to complement each other and to enhance the overall design concept of the collection. They contribute to the distinct textures and aesthetics of the garments, allowing us to create pieces that are both visually captivating and comfortable for those who wear them.

There is so much pressure for designers to come out with new collections season after season - how do you keep your designs fresh?

Speaking and meeting our brides is what helps us to make our designs fresh and innovative each season. We strive to create designs that will bring to life each bride’s unique love story. Being a part of someone’s love story is what keeps us going.

Why did you decide to take part/why do you think that the Bridal Week Fashion Shows are important?

We have a huge amount of interest in our designs from UK brides and stores alike. Bridal Week was an exciting opportunity to meet face to face with store owners, many of whom follow our brand on social media or online. We are very keen to have a strong presence in the UK bridal market, as our designs are very much in demand.

Do you have any trend forecasts for the year ahead? What’s going to be popular with brides in 2024?

Minimalist and Modern: Clean lines, minimalist designs, and sleek silhouettes have been a popular choice for modern brides. Simple gowns with elegant draping and minimal embellishments offer a timeless and chic look. Elevating this trend by combining it with convertible elements like detachable trains, jackets, and sleeves offer versatility and the opportunity for brides to mix and match to create a unique look.

Floral and Botanical Motifs: Floral and botanical-inspired embroidery, appliqués, and prints continue to be a favourite choice for brides looking to infuse their gowns with a touch of nature and whimsy.

Colourful Dresses: While white and ivory remain classic choices, while romantic blush tones have been the go-to romantic colour choice. We are seeing even bolder colours like blue, red, or black incorporated to make a unique statement.

Which particular piece are you the proudest of? Can you tell us a little bit about it?

We are proud of the designs as a collective. We take pride in our continued ability to innovate and push the boundaries of bridal fashion. Whether it be with unique design elements or the use of new fabrics, we’re proud of each design and our commitment to moving bridal trends forward.
