Bridal Week unveils a fresh new identity

In the lead-up to the March show, Bridal Week’s fresh rebrand has been turning heads. A new palette of earthy browns and rich reds brings depth and warmth to the visuals, anchored by soft neutrals that keep the look clean and elevated. The updated imagery leans into a modern, editorial aesthetic, whilst the refined typography emphasises the timeless elegance, resulting in an Instagram presence that feels more cohesive and on-brand. We’re eagerly awaiting the reveal of the new website, but until then, make sure you’re following Bridal Week Official for the latest trend insights and event updates.

Holly Ramsay sets the tone for a glamorous Christmas wedding

Holly Ramsay has officially kicked off her wedding celebrations, stepping out at her hen party in the £1,450 embellished Bridal Crystal Dress by Clio Peppiatt, a glamorous choice that sets the scene for what promises to be a lavish Christmas wedding. The mini ivory design, complete with a soft sweetheart neckline and hand-beaded baubles and crystals, has already sparked speculation about her bridal look for the big day at Bath Abbey. Could Holly be hinting at an embellished gown for her ceremony? Styles such as Essence of Australia’s D3372, showcasing sparkling detail from neckline to hem, would certainly deliver a show-stopping moment down the aisle. Additionally, with a winter wedding on the horizon, long sleeves may well be on her radar. Justin Alexander’s Kendall Sleeves, featuring delicate lace appliqués, offer the perfect blend of warmth and elegance for an enchanting bridal look.

Revisiting the royal gown that defined a post-war era

As we mark the 77th wedding anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, it feels fitting to revisit one of the most iconic bridal gowns in royal history. The extraordinary creation that captivated a post-war nation required the skilled hands of 350 seamstresses. Designed by Sir Norman Hartnell, the gown drew inspiration from Botticelli’s Primavera painting, a symbol of hope and renewal, perfectly reflecting the spirit of a country emerging from hardship. Its standout features included a 15-foot transparent ivory silk train and an astonishing 10,000 seed pearls, specially imported from the United States. These details cemented the design as a true piece of fashion history.
The gown’s high sweetheart neckline and long sleeves conveyed modesty and remain prominent in today’s bridal fashion. Casablanca’s 2364 Darcy gown, for example, reimagines these timeless elements with a fit-and-flare silhouette and an optional cropped Mandarin-collar jacket. The gigot sleeves and sheer lace detailing certainly transform the ensemble into a statement look for the modern bride.
Embellishment, another noteworthy feature of the Queen’s gown, continues to be a favourite amongst modern collections. Designers such as Allure Bridals champion refined sparkle, offering pieces that glimmer whilst reflecting sophistication. The D438 Tiana gown from their Disney Fairy Tale Weddings collection, detailed with delicate sequins and tonal beading, offers a gentle shimmer that feels romantic and modern.

Celebrating the standout boutiques leading this year’s TWIA honours

This year’s regional winners at The Wedding Industry Awards have once again highlighted the exceptional talent shaping the UK bridal landscape. Amongst those top honours, TDR Bridal Birmingham impressed with its impeccable service and expertly curated designer offering, taking home the award for Bridal Retailer (est. more than 4 years) in West Midlands. For the same category in the Yorkshire and Northwest regions, You Are Precious Bridal stood out for its unwavering commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for every bride. These standout retailers reflect the innovation, passion and professionalism that continues to elevate the bridal industry each year, and we are eagerly awaiting the regional winners to be announced for East of England, South Central and Southeast!
