The fashion show from the sister brands was a highlight of NY Bridal Fashion Week, with an array of transformative gowns and structured silhouettes
This season at New York Bridal Fashion Week, the Ukrainian design house behind WONÁ Concept and Eva Lendel presented a rich mix of styles from these two headline acts. This was a display of artistry; packed with fresh silhouettes, interesting textures, modern layering and twists on translucencies. The joint showcase captured two distinct visions of what modern brides are seeking; transformative pieces, a focus on craftsmanship and the ability to display individuality.
WONÁ Concept promised a statement collection, and that is exactly what was delivered; fresh styles that fused structure with sensuality. The brand’s signature craftsmanship was front and centre in its WONÁ White and WONÁ Atelier lines, both exploring versatility through detachable elements. We saw capes, skirts and different sleeves options, each offering gowns multiple lives.
The corsetry-led silhouettes with a couture touch were a real highlight – the looks balanced precision tailoring with emotion. Think feather accents and semi-sheer layering, as well as sculptural lace and beadwork. One outstanding design was the column gown framed by a dramatic feather cape, which really embodied the label’s vision of bold, architectural romance for fashion-forward brides.
In contrast to WONÁ Concept, Eva Lendel’s new Less Is More collection embraced simplicity with unmistakable sophistication. Through clean lines, subtle plays on transparency and light structure, the brand focuses on creating minimal bridalwear that was both sensual and strong.
Each look was crafted to celebrate a natural silhouette, allowing texture and movement to do the storytelling. Some favourites include a sleek halter gown that was dusted in delicate beadwork – perfect for glimmering under the lights, and a masterclass in depth through different textures.
Discussing the show, and new collections, the fashion house tells us: “Together, these collections affirm the brands’ commitment to craftsmanship, innovation and the beauty of individuality – inviting brides worldwide to see bridalwear as both a personal statement and a piece of art.”
