Bridesmaid brand Maids to Measure has received investment from Dragon’s Den entrepreneur Touker Suleyman.
Maids to Measure has come a long way since sisters India and Sinclair Sellars set it up four years ago. Maids to Measure is now the go to destination for fashion-forward bridesmaids and BBC Dragon Touker Suleyman was quick to notice them. As owner of occasionwear label Ghost, he noticed a new competitor on the scene and approached the girls to discuss working together and becoming a joint force in the bridesmaid world.
Touker’s well known support of small British start-ups together with his wide retail and manufacturing experience, makes it a match made in heaven and he is able to give the small Maids to Measure team the backing and support required to make the brand a house hold name.
Touker’s investment enables the team to create a small ready-to-wear collection of their most popular styles and colours, making the girls’ wholesale offering to their 30 already established stockists, more competitive, speedier and easier.
Sinclair said: “We’re really excited to announce this new partnership, this investment enables us to do everything we always wanted. Touker’s time is as valuable as his investment and has already had a huge impact ”
