Agent of the Year 2022: Tim Dunbar of Allure Bridals

We sat down with Tim Dunbar of Allure Bridals to hear more about how it felt to be crowned Agent of the Year, and what his three pearls of wisdom are for other bridalwear agents.

Congratulations on winning the award! How does it feel to be crowned Agent of the Year 2022?

Tim Dunbar: I am absolutely thrilled to have won this incredible award. Truly, I was just honoured to have been nominated and made a finalist, but to have won and to be recognised for what we are doing means so much.

What does this award mean to you?

Tim Dunbar: I am incredibly grateful for this award and for what it means to everyone at Allure Bridals.

To leadership at Allure Bridals, thank you for giving me this incredible opportunity to do what I love most while making my new home here in the UK.
To our retailer partners, quite literally none of this is possible without you. I am impressed daily by you, by your perseverance, determination, innovation, and service in the work you do to create life moments for our brides. You have welcomed this American into your boutiques with open arms (& more offers of a cuppa than I can count), and I am grateful for each of you. 
To Bridal Week & Bridal Buyer Magazine, thank you for the work you do for the UK bridal industry & for the recognition given to those within it. 
To my team, I cannot begin to thank you enough for the support you freely give, not only to me, but also to our retailers and anyone else in need. Your knowledge, experience, & work ethic make you invaluable assets to our company and to our retailers, and I value you each of you more than you know; I simply cannot imagine doing this work without you.

What are your three pearls of wisdom for other bridal agents?

Tim Dunbar: Be knowledgeable. Be available. Be consistent.

What does 2023 have in store for you?

Tim Dunbar: After a record-breaking Bridal Week Harrogate, advanced technology initiatives globally, the expansion of our Manchester-office and warehouse, and exciting new projects, we are planning for a busy 2023!
