A grant is a financial donation that you don’t have to repay and in FTCT’s case, it is intended to cover the cost of an item for your child. Grants from FTCT start at £250 and can provide practical help during a tough financial spot - from buying school uniform, bedding or shoes, to specialist mobility equipment..

These grants come with some conditions and have an eligibility criteria which mainly focuses on a trade connection to the fashion and textile industry - meaning that recent employees of either BHS or Austin Reed can apply.

Getting help from the FTCT is quick and easy. To apply you must:

  • Currently work or have recently worked (within the last 9 years) in the UK fashion and textile industry - for at least one year
  • Be the parent or full-time carer of a child/children (aged 0-18 years)

To find out more, call FTCT on 0300 123 9002 or visit ftct.org.uk
