Indiebride London, one of the most sought-after sustainable bridal brands in the UK, has announced the launch of their latest collection. The launch reflects the evolving landscape of the modern bride, high-quality bridalwear and a shift towards a more sustainable approach to bridal fashion.

Located within an atmospheric church on Brixton Road (just a five-minute walk from Oval Tube Station on the Northern Line), the Indiebride London studio awaits. Born in 2008, Indiebride London has developed over the years, transforming from a ready-to-wear brand before establishing itself as the go-to bridal studio for heirloom quality gowns with a sustainable edge. Indiebride London is recognised as one of the first London-based brands to offer handmade bohemian and romantic bridal gowns and continues to thrive within the bridal fashion industry.

Now headed by Miina (who began as the brand’s first ever intern, acting as seamstress and production assistant), the brand is renowned for their exceptional quality, handmade dresses, with comfort at the very heart of the business. Miina is passionate about encouraging brides to consider every element of their wedding dress journey, showcasing the fact that a bridal gown can be designed and made while valuing the environment.

The ethos behind Indiebride London has been crafted for brides who want to appreciate the individual craftsmanship behind the brand, while knowing where the materials are from and who it has been made by. From sourcing materials to the alterations, every element of the wedding dress making process is carefully considered and delivered with exceptional customer service. Their exquisite laces, silk, bamboo and Tencel lyocell used throughout their designs are manufactured and sourced locally in the UK. Indiebride London wedding gowns are made-to-order, avoiding any unused dresses held in stock, with any off-cuts actively recycled and reused. The team are known for their bespoke wedding dress designs, offering their brides the opportunity to alter styles and add personal touches.

“Indiebride London is all about easy-to-wear, soft-structure bohemian wedding dresses with a subtle dash of vintage vibes,” says Miina, Director at Indiebride London. “We are a sustainable bridalwear brand and deeply pride ourselves in the personal service we provide alongside our beautiful handmade gowns. Comfort, sustainability and quality are at the very core of Indiebride London, and the team are passionate about standing by their values and representing today’s women." “Our handmade wedding dresses are designed for cool, free-spirited women who don’t give a damn what anyone else thinks. They’re for women who want to feel like themselves, but on their wedding day. We don’t compromise on comfort or confidence, which is why we don’t follow trends – our brides are our inspiration,” explains Miina.

The Indiebride London 2023 Collection

As with each collection at Indiebride London, the dresses are simply inspired by the materials that are available to source at that moment in time, offering an authentic, alternative and honest approach to bridalwear. The gowns are designed to be worn with confidence at natural, rustic and bohemian-style celebrations. The collection introduces three new vegan materials, which are made of Tencel Lyocell, with the aim to replace the ivory silk and crinkled silk chiffon originally used to welcome vegan brides into the Indiebride world. While the wedding industry anticipates an increase of brides seeking vegan-friendly gowns, the collection is designed for everyone who seeks a wedding dress that offers a level of comfort that is hard to find elsewhere, as well as a non-formal gown that remains stylish and fashion focused.
