Now this is a dress for brides who want to look and feel every inch a princess. Style C701 from Allure Couture was created with an edge of opulence, ideal for brides that want to create an air of luxury. From the volume of the skirt to the detailing, this is a wedding-day look that embraces impact.

Allure Couture Style C701

The dress offers a contemporary take on the traditional ballgown silhouette; it has bold and voluminous elements, matched perfectly with slinky straps and a stunning fitted bodice. “The fully beaded bodice is encrusted with sequins and pearls, has a ballet neckline and shoestring straps,” says the label’s Tim Dunbar, who describes the gown in perfect detail. “It features Allure’s signature corset construction –  which means it has added comfort and security for brides. And the bodice can be lined or unlined.”

Adding to the already impactful style, the full skirt adds real wow factor to the style. It is crafted from beautiful layers of tulle and English net – embracing that maximalism vibe. And is finished with a glorious train, which features buttons all the way down for that extra pop of detail.

Design & Details

When the dress was designed, there was a real focus on using pearls to give a contemporary finish and add texture, depth and a beautiful detail. “We used that classic tradition of bridal pearls but in a modern way,” says Tim. “We also love the options for styling. We have styled this dress with a gorgeous pearl veil and pearl drop earrings. We also have pearl gloves that really match this look.”

One of the things we adore about Style C701 is the opportunity for customisations – which is available for many styles in Allure Couture’s collection. “We have changed this dress in so many different ways to create looks that are perfect for the brides wearing them,” says Tim. “Brides have opted for this as a strapless style, and also as an off-the-shoulder sleeve – shoestring straps don’t suit everyone. The skirt features layers of tulle topped with English net, and under that first layer of English net, we have also included a layer of sparkle tulle for brides that want something to really shimmer. We can also change the buttons down the back to be pearls to really match with the bodice.”

Favourite Touches

There is so much to adore about this stunning style, and we asked Tim for one of his favourite features. He tells us: “I love the shape that we’ve created with the  placement of the pearl beading. It’s not just thrown on it, it is very intentionally placed – it delivers a very delicate, almost ruching effect that narrows at the waist and brings the eye to the wonderfully full skirt.”

“I would love to see this dress at a big winter wedding in a really gorgeous and dramatic venue, like Peckforton Castle in Cheshire,” says Tim. “We can extend the train up to 10 feet, if the bride wants that impact, it would give them a real princess feel in a venue like that.”
