Can you tell us about your bridal industry history?

Eden Keshia began as an independent bespoke label, specialising in hand-rendered details and a slow fashion concept, creating individual designs as unique as the wearer. Eden previously worked as a freelance artist and designer for luxury womenswear fashion and bridal, before launching her eponymous label. Eden’s background in editorial and luxury fashion labels influence fashion-conscious designs with meticulous design details. A background in dance and theatre produce elegant silhouettes, elaborate accessories and embellishments which captivate during movement. Fashion-forward bridalwear which is customisable with our signature design details, each design in the collection is created for a character with their own personality, style and bridal needs.

Do you have a minimum order?

In keeping with our bespoke ethos at Eden Keshia, there are no minimum orders for our designs. A sample order for a gown or bridal accessory will allow the retailer to take orders for the design, which will then be made to order in-house in our atelier with any bespoke additions such as custom names/dates or embroidery.

What do you consider to be signature design elements of the brand?

Signature design elements include hand-painted lace details, sentimental embroideries such as names and dates, a special appreciation for artisan embellishments, and a love for corsetry in bridalwear with a modern twist.

What is the brand’s greatest achievement, and top secrets to success?

Eden Keshia was recently described by British Vogue as ’breath-taking bespoke Bridalwear’. Eden’s philosophy, based heavily on slow, sustainable fashion with artisan techniques has caught the attention of Vogue Editors and celebrity stylists alike. Eden has always been passionate about art, painting and design, and this appreciation paired with a strong work ethic is what Eden hopes to see the brand succeed even further.

What’s next for the brand?

Eden’s most recent collection launched in late 2022, and is inspired by goddess characters depicted in Greek mythology. ’Stellify’ is inspired by Greek Goddesses and their depictions in Greek mythology. Each character has their own style, silhouette and personality reflected in the design, and more subtle design details have been inspired by Eden’s closest friends. The Heirloom collection is an ongoing collection of carefully curated vintage bridalwear pieces which have been hand selected and reworked into modern gowns. Eden’s passion for sustainability deepens the collection from wear-once garments into sentimental gowns that have a history, can be personalised with signature details and are truly unique. The collection has already attracted a great deal of attention and praise, and Eden hopes to develop this further through 2023 via a small selection of boutiques and buyers who are interested in the brand’s concept.

Can you tell us five interesting facts about the brand?

  1. All of our gowns are made in-house in our atelier in Halifax by our talented team of creatives. Our other studios are situated in Leeds & London.
  2. Our bespoke laces begin as a sketch, developed into a hand-painted placement design and are then embroidered onto pattern pieces.
  3. Secret messages can often be found embroidered in our lace gowns, and this can be a customisable service added on to any of our gowns.
  4. Wherever possible, silk offcuts are used to create bridal accessories such as our signature beaded purses, silk rose embellishments and scrunchies to adopt a minimal waste design practise.
  5. A believer in superstition and luck, Eden cuts all gowns in-house using crystals as pattern weights to start the good luck & spiritual positivity in our dresses from the first instance.

What kind of brides do you envisage wearing your pieces?

Modern, Fashion forward brides who are also sentimental, looking for individuality and a timeless but interesting aesthetic that reflects their personality.
