Billy Fitzsimmons from Allure Bridals shares his thoughts on leading bridal trade show, The Harrogate Bridal Show
Allure Bridals has been manufacturing bridal gowns since 1997. Our collection began with a small capsule of unadvertised gowns and has since grown into a multi-label brand with nine collections, including menswear, bridesmaids and special occasion.
With a staff of under 100 employees globally, we distribute bridal gowns to over 1500 retailers in 50+ countries. Our collections are designed to fit every bride, from the simple and classic styles in our Allure Romance collection, to the most ornate and fashion forward designs by Allure Couture and Madison James.
Our price points are also designed to fit brides on a budget, as well as the bride with more to spend. We look forward to continued growth as we are expanding into more territory in Europe.
Harrogate is still our major launch exhibition for the UK. It affords us the opportunity to meet, greet and show our new collections in a very ambient location; we show to our existing and hopefully new stockists.
Allure is now in its fifth year of exhibiting at The Harrogate Bridal Show under our distribution and had featured for three years previously. Personally this will be my 35th year attending Harrogate.
We look forward to meeting our customers who are now our friends – to appraise our collections and forge even stronger business relationships.
Over our six collections, there will be around 120 - 130 new pieces. Because of the diversity of our collections, the RRP will vary.
Retailers should attend Harrogate fully prepared with knowledge of the stock in their store in relation to sizes, colours and silhouettes. Come armed with the knowledge that has been gleaned from prospective customers for 2019 and buy accordingly.
Visit all of your suppliers and discuss your ongoing business and business going forward, whether good or bad, the communication is the essential part of business for both parties.
