Inspired by the meaning of a harbour, the latest collections from True Bride reflect modern femininity and classic detailing – the labels include True Bride, True Curves, Nicki Flynn by True Bride and Brighton Belle. Harbour: ‘a haven where ships seek shelter from stormy weather.’ ‘To keep it secretly in one’s mind.’
Year after year, the True Curves collection from True Bride stands out as beautifully curated line of gowns designed specifically for plus-size brides.
This is a line of dresses that have been carefully crafted and thought out with specific purpose and intention. Everything from the feeling of the fabric, to the structure and support are considered and refined. This is a line that that addresses the unique needs of plus-size brides, offering both style and comfort.
For Harbour, the True Curves styles were developed to ensure that all women, whatever their body shape, can wear a beautiful gown that celebrates their body. "Our True Curves collection was created to develop designs that plus size brides want to wear, complete with our signature luxury construction," says the label’s Georgia Flynn.
Georgia also highlights some of the key styles this season, which include Dominica and Caterina. “Dominica is all about modern simplicity. Available as either a one shoulder or two shoulder design, this satin dress features a pleated skirt with pockets and buttons to the hem for a high end look at an easy price point,” she explains. “Caterina takes contemporary elements such as a full skirted Mikado shape and scooped square neckline and marries them with classic beaded lace either in ivory or with a metallic gold thread running throughout for a romantic touch.”
Bridal Buyer adores the Gianna dress. This is a really chic style – slim and strappy, with a stunning and supportive bodice that features all-over beaded detailing. The structure of the bodice leads to a free-flowing skirt with lighter-than-air layers. It feels fresh and modern, but also timeless and pretty.
True Curves caters to brides wearing sizes 18 to 36+, with a commitment to inclusivity that aims to ensure that every bride, regardless of size, can find a stunning gown that makes her feel beautiful and confident on her special day. The dresses enhance and celebrate curves; they are meticulously crafted with strategic seaming, supportive structure, and other thoughtful design elements that provide a flattering fit. Modern brides don’t want to cover up their bodies, they want to celebrate it, so whether they want a classic ball gown or a modern, fitted silhouette, there is a style to suit their requirements.
Comfort and support are paramount in the True Curves collection. Many dresses are designed with built-in corsetry, providing brides with the necessary support to feel secure throughout their wedding day. This attention to comfort does not compromise on style; instead, it enhances the overall wearing experience, allowing brides to move with ease and confidence. The supportive structure ensures that brides can enjoy their special day without any discomfort or worry about their gown.
