Bridal Buyer first got to know Lydia Jones when she launched her Miabelle bridesmaid collection towards the end of the pandemic. A scary time to launch a line? Yes. But it was a bold move that paid off. Couples getting married and retailers adored the collection, which then led to the launch of an occassionwear line, and most recently a stunning bridal line, which launched last year.

“It has always been the long term goal to evolve into bridal design but now felt like ideal timing,” says Lydia. “Our dresses are understated and glamorous, which is exactly what some brides are looking for, but they are also the perfect dress for a second look, which is a rapidly rising trend.

Style of the Week: Remi by Miabelle

Remi by Miabelle has a sleek mixture of vintage glam and modern finishes – the silhouette and detailing create a really head-turning look. “The dresses are classic with vintage elements, and I love everything from the 1950s – that Dior look never dates,” says Lydia. “Remi is a figure-hugging style, it is very fitted, but as it’s made of stretch crepe, you can still move.”

We adore the peal and bead trim to the neckline, which Lydia tells us is reminiscent of that really finessed Old Hollywood style, especially matched with the low scoop back: “It’s low but modest.”

The icing on the cake is Remi’s stunning bow and train to the back. The bow’s asymmetric placement adds a contemporary touch, and offers a really unique, and on trend, detail. “The bow and the train are removable, too, so brides can take them off in the evening if they want to change up their style.”

Miabelle: The 2025 Edit

Miabelle’s second bridal collection was unveiled at Bridal Week in September. “The 2025 bridal edit truly encapsulates the Miabelle brand – modern, minimal, luxe,” says Lydia. Each dress in the line has been really considered and has been created with purpose with the specific wearer in mind. Even better, the collection is aiming to be as size inclusive as possible, with styles available in a UK4-36.

There are six new styles in the collection, including Remi, and the dresses have been cut and crafted beautifully, with special attention paid to the structure, drape and details – which elevate the styles. The gowns have been inspired by fine vintage fashion and tailoring, but have a minimalist approach in the cut and execution.

“There is a focus on clean, tailored silhouettes made in Miabelle’s signature luxe crepe, which hugs in all the right places,” explains Lydia. Oversize bows feature as gorgeous focal points on the shoulders and rear, and beautiful beading adds touches of texture and depth. There is also a wonderful selection of neckline and sleeve styles to suit a variety of tastes – from the one shoulder Alessia gown, to the V-neck Rocco with stunning flutter sleeves and Gianna with slip straps and a beautiful sweetheart neck.

The curated collection of made-to-order gowns combines old warm charm with modern design, which Lydia says is for: “The bride who wants all the glam without all the fuss."
