Can you give us a quick history of Charlotte Balbier?

The brand was founded by Charlotte Balbier in 2003. In 2017 Charlotte Balbier joined the LJ Group bridal portfolio. Established in 1995, Linzi Jay is famous for excellent and consistent customer service and strongly believes in supporting the independent retailer.

What makes Charlotte Balbier unique?

I’ve been working alongside Charlotte since before the merge with Linzi Jay and I’ve introduced my own creative flair to the Charlotte Balbier brand. I design gowns with a unique structure whilst always keeping the Charlotte Balbier bride in mind.

All Charlotte Balbier designs are unique bohemian gowns with a pretty and feminine twist.

Where do you get inspiration for your designs from?

Everything inspires me, wherever I go I always get new ideas. When drawing, I always have the Charlotte Balbier bride in mind and I make sure I stick to the same brief: pretty princess with a bohemian twist.

I like to also take inspiration from previous collections and improve them all the time.

What does the typical Charlotte Balbier bride look like?

A typical Charlotte Balbier bride is a free-spirited character with a unique style and personality.

What’s Charlotte Balbier’s greatest achievement?

In 2013 Charlotte Balbier won Designer of the Year, this has definitely been the brand’s greatest achievement.

Why is White Gallery so important to you?

We find it important to launch the collections at White Gallery as a way of getting to see all of our stockist as well as new customers. White Gallery is a good networking event as we get the chance to have that face-to-face connection which we don’t normally have.

It is also great to get our customers’ feedback.

Make sure you register for White Gallery to ensure you don’t miss out.

What can retailers expect from your brand at White Gallery 2019?

A lot of surprises! The collection is definitely going to be our bravest yet. Expect lots of colour and prettiness, alongside trousers, and of course, a lot of sparkle! I am very excited to see what everyone thinks of the new dresses.
